Mini-profiles of the regular guests I invite to share opinion and dialogue on Politics & Poetry. Each conversation is transcribed word for word. Check the Conversations section to read more unless otherwise stated.
Admin – (aka Edward) I’m the owner of Politics & Poetry and responsible for all the editing and maintenance of the blog. You can read more about me on the main About Me page. The majority of the non-Conversation posts are mine.
Doyle – Freelance writer from London. Passionate about politics and the current cultural trends in art, music and cinema. Often found playing golf when time and weather allows.
Hibbert – Bookshop owner from the city of Bath, England. A ‘walking-talking encyclopaedia’ as we often refer to him as. Enjoys reading, writing, debating and statistics.
Shears – History teacher living in the English county of Surrey. A keen admirer of wildlife except funnily enough when it comes to foxes. Regularly visits the south of France where he co-owns a vineyard.
Mullally – American gentleman from Pennsylvania. A lifelong Republican voter and devout Christian. Likes most forms of outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling and various water-sports.
Langton – Self-described academic from London. Proud to have never voted Conservative in his life. Political interests include the Middle East, human rights and fighting against domestic policies that punish the poor.
Clipper – Peace activist and environmental campaigner living in the English county of East Sussex. Animal Rights and Green issues are Clipper’s forté. Believes passionately in a more just society and has an inclination towards Marxism.
Pilcher – Living in London. Freelance writer and semi-professional antiques dealer.
Dijkstra – Dutch lady living in Holland. Interests include politics, literature and crafts.
Nazir – Muslim student from the English city of Manchester.
